Position title: Public Health Dental Officer
Reports to: Medical Director
Location: Mbarara
Job Purpose
To deliver quality oral healthcare by diagnosing and treating dental conditions, performing restorative procedures, developing appropriate treatment plans, and administering or prescribing medications, while promoting overall patient oral health.
Responsibilities
KEY OUTPUTS
- Fixing or removing damaged teeth
- Filling Cavities
- Performing exams and evaluating dental x-rays to determine a patient’s health.
- Developing treatment plans to deal with any dental health issues
- Administering or prescribing medications to decrease pain and improve patient health.
- Interacting with patients and instruct them on proper oral care.
- Measuring and fitting dental appliances.
- Referring patients to specialist if needed.
- Provide health education to all clients including participating in radio or TV talk shows.
Qualifications
Job Requirements
Diploma in Public Health Dentistry.
At least one year of experience.
